Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Paximara Pty Ltd ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use Nexamara (the "Service"), a product of Paximara Pty Ltd. Nexamara is a family internet safety platform that helps parents protect and coordinate their children's devices.
Who this applies to
Nexamara is set up and managed by a parent or legal guardian for their household. Accounts are created by adults, who add child profiles and devices. We do not knowingly allow children to create their own accounts.
Information we collect
- Account information — the parent's name and email used to create and secure the account.
- Family and device data — child profiles, device identifiers, and the Home Node you connect.
- Connectivity data — tunnel status, presence (online/offline), and device heartbeats used to show live status.
- Location data — where a child's device is, when location features are enabled, so parents can see it on the family map.
- Network activity — DNS requests and blocked-domain events processed to filter and protect traffic.
How we use information
- To operate the Service: enrolment, secure tunnels, filtering, location, and presence.
- To protect devices from scams, phishing, malware, and unsafe content.
- To show parents the dashboards, maps, and activity they manage for their family.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
Where your data lives
Nexamara is built around infrastructure your family controls. Where possible, traffic is filtered and processed on your own Home Node rather than a third-party cloud. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your family's browsing to build advertising profiles.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers that help us run Nexamara (such as hosting and payment processing), and only as needed to deliver the Service. We may disclose information where required by law.
Data retention
We keep information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, then delete or de-identify it within a reasonable period, subject to legal requirements.
Your choices and rights
Parents can review, update, or delete child profiles and device data from within the app, and can request deletion of the account. To exercise privacy rights, contact us at privacy@nexamara.com.
Security
We use encryption in transit (including the Nexamara tunnel) and on-device key generation. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information using appropriate safeguards.
Children's privacy
Nexamara processes children's data on behalf of, and under the direction of, their parent or guardian, for the purpose of family safety. We do not market to children or use their data for advertising.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date.
